Obituary of Leona E. Delaney

Leona E. Delaney, 92, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Wesley Healthcare in Saratoga Springs. She was born in Mayfield on March 2, 1916; she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Bertha Pettingel Delaney. Ms. Delaney worked as a bookkeeper for the Mayfield Central School District and was a member of Mayfield United Methodist Church. Survivors include two nephews: Timothy E. Delaney Tina and Michael B. Delaney Tracy and a niece, Mariann Brower Mark. A brother, Burton E. Delaney, preceded her in death. There will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service at 10am on Saturday, May 2 at Union Rural Cemetery in Mayfield with the Rev. Cynthia VanAllen officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
