Obituary of James V. Bardascini

James V. Bardascini, 82, of Arnold Avenue passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born in Amsterdam August 5, 1926 a son of the late John and Nancy Bardascini. James was a life resident of the area and attended schools in Amsterdam. He served his country with the US ARMY from 1945 to 1946, during the WWII era. He married the former Dorothy Casso of Rotterdam in January of 1946. James was of Roman Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. His loving family includes his wife of nearly 63 years, Dorothy Bardascini of Amsterdam, his daughter and her husband, Nancy and Ben Lisicki of Amsterdam and their son, Jeff Lisicki and fiancée, Nichole Hamlen and their daughter Ashlyn of Gloversville, his two sons and their spouses, John and Maryann Bardascini of Galway and James and Pamela Bardascini of Florida, his brothers, Carmen Bardascini of Syracuse and Anthony and Nina Bardascini of Amsterdam, his sister, Tessie Ottalagano of Gloversville, his goddaughter, Carol Stearns of Amsterdam and a special family member, Colleen Bardascini. Several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Prayer Services will be private at the convenience of the family with Fr. Pascal Iannotti, officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Amsterdam. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
