Obituary of Irene M. Weeden
Irene M. Weeden, 86, of Queen Ann Road passed away peacefully late Friday evening at her home, in the company of her family.
Born in Edinburgh, NY on Feb. 16, 1922, she was the last surviving child of Sherman G. and Amy Mosher Blackwood. Irene was employed by Bojud Manufacturing, Ward Products and lastly Coleco before she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whether it be camping or boating, or just being in their company. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Amsterdam.
The widow of Robert L. Weeden, she also lost her daughter, Gale Kunasz.
Irene left a legacy of a large and extended family which includes her children; Daughter, Sally William Lindquist of Ft. Hunter; sons; twins, Daniel Amelia Weeden of Camden, NY, and David Doreen Weeden of Blossvale, NY; Robert Patricia Weeden of Baldwinsville, NY; Terry Weeden of Williamstown, NY; Paul Ann Weeden of Middle Grove, NY, and Donald Verna Weeden of Camden, NY; son in law; John Kunasz, thirty two grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
Services will take place on Monday at 2pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Spring interment will take place in Chuctanunda Cemetery Minaville.
A calling hour will precede the service from 1pm to 2 pm Monday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Seventh Day Adventist Church, 379 Division Street Amsterdam, NY.
