Obituary of Tai Cody Hugh Strobel

Tai Cody Hugh Strobel, age 9, of Gloversville went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2009. Tai was born May 25, 1999 in Amsterdam, the son of Roger Strobel and Kathy Stuart, both of Gloversville. He attended Park Terrace Elementary School. He loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins. Tai loved to play video games, ride his bike and play with his friends Dominic and Anthony. He was loved and cherished by friends and family and will be very sadly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Josh Cole and Roger Strobel, Jr.; three sisters, Kayla Sweet, Lacie Javarone and Brandi Strobel; maternal grandfather Roger Christman of Johnstown; paternal grandmother Faye Strobel of Nelliston; paternal step grandmother Barb Strobel of Norwich, NY; five uncles: Randy Strobel Debra of Norwich, NY, Rob Strobel of Ft. Plain, Rodney Strobel of Nelliston, Todd Jackson of Gloversville and Dale Strobel Krista of Ohio; five aunts: Deneen Strobel of Palatine Bridge, Renee Jackson of Johnstown, Tina Jackson of Gloversville, Lori Jackson of Gloversville and Dawn Clipston of Norwich; twenty-three cousins and his beloved cat, Hershey. Tai was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Sharon Bushen and his paternal grandfather, Leland "Sarg" Strobel. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm Wednesday at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. There will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tai's memory to the Asthma Research Center, 15 Francis Street, Clinics Building 1, BP 130, Boston, MA 02115.
