Obituary of Wayne R. Cronk

Wayne R. Cronk, 61, of Shady Lane passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at his home. He was born in Meredith, NY on September 3, 1947 a son of the late Roberta Means Cronk.
Wayne was raised and attended schools in the Meredith, NY area. He grew up on his family's farm and was raised by his grandparents, the late Scott and Ida Means. Growing up, he learned to hunt from his uncle "Scotty" Means and very much enjoyed outdoor activities.
Following his graduation from high school, Wayne served his country during the Vietnam era with the US Marine Corps. He was a member of the American Legion and was a talented singer. He enjoyed hunting, playing computer games and spending time with his family, neighbors and many friends. He will be sadly missed
His loving family includes his son, Albert Lisa Wilson of Fonda, his daughters, Sandra Cronk of N. Carolina, Amber Jerry Shafer of Joplin, MO, and Jessica Ryan Broyles of Springfield, MO, his companion, Shirley VanAernam and her family of Amsterdam, his spouse, Virginia Cronk of Springfield, MO, his brother, Dave Pat Cronk of Whitehall, PA, his sister Anne Roger Spooner of Derry, NH, and his grandchildren, Matthew Bollacker and Daniel Wilson of Fonda, Jasymin Henderson, Zachary Cronk, Kaleb Cronk and Chastity Schafer of Joplin, MO, Ryan Broyles, Jr. of Springfield, MO, Christine and Grace Cronk of N. Carolina, and Joseph, Victoria, Cheyenne and Noah Coulter of Gloversville. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his mother and his grandparents, Wayne was predeceased by his first wife and life-long friend, Nellie Coulter.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with Rev Cynthia Leonard, officiating.
