Joe and Peter - Bill and I were neighbors of your father's in Perth on Rt. 107 until 1988 when we built a home around the corner on Steers Road. Your father was an amazing man! We always admired his dedication to scouting, his love of fishing, and his unwavering commitment to caring for Rose. Many mornings we would see him walking to the mail box to get the morning newspaper on our way to work. Please know we still think of him daily and say a prayer for him. He was a great and wonderful person! Perth is just not the same without him.

To the Aleksa Family
I have not seen you guys or Uncle Joe in a long time. However, I remember many great memories both in Amsterdam and Florida. Uncle Joe had a comforting safe feeling about him and of course a great Lithuanian accent. I know he is officially back with Aunt Rose now and my father John. As you know, my mother Fran has kept in touch with him and she was deeply saddened the day he passed. We send our love and condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up across the road from your mom and dad. May you find peace in the memories that you have and comfort in knowing that your dad joins your mom in God's home.

Joey and Peter,
On behalf of my mom, brothers, Dean and Darrin, and sister, Karen, I wish to convey my sincerest sympathy to you both and your families.
I enjoyed an opportunity to visit with Uncle Joe three years ago while on vacation in Amsterdam. It was like reliving our youth. My daughters and I sat in the living room and many happy memories returned. I asked if Uncle Joe would accompany us for a ride around Amsterdam and he happily obliged. He showed us the old Karuzas farm across the river and up the hill, he took us into town and showed where Grandpa Karuzas' house used to be near the railroad tracks. We went to St. Casimirs and then to the cemetery. He showed us where Grandpa and Grandma and you Mom were all laid to rest.
I'm sure he is happy to be back with your Mom and taking care of her again.
God Bless,
Dennis
