Dear Val & family -
I am so very sorry for the loss of your dearest friend Micah. I know how much he meant to you and your children. I wish I got to know him better but he sounded like a great person who was very well liked. I just wish I had known about his passing sooner so I could have been there for you in your time of need. From this day forward, I am here for you if you ever need a shoulder to lean on. I so feel your pain.
My deepest sympathy,
S

My Dearest Micah, I'll never forget the day we met at the Fonda Fair. You asked me for my autograph in jest after I sang. Later you asked, ever so politely, if you could walk with me. We ended up on that giant ferriswheel and STAYED on it for an hour just talking and enjoying each other's company. Our ages bothered me greatly, but they didn't you. You gave me your phone number on a bank deposit slip which I still hold dear with SO MANY other momentos of the year I was able to share with you. It was truly the happiest year of my life. Not a day has gone by, in these past 5 yrs that I haven't thought of you a hundred times....well, maybe ONE day I only thought of you 99 times, but that was because I went to bed early that night. Oh, how I do so miss laughing with you, Micah. I miss being able to share any and everything with you. You were such a great listener and confidante....so understanding and sensitive and SO intelligent! You helped heal me from my past and made me want to live again. You were like a ray of sunshine. I remember a waitress once saying to you,"Good morning, Sunshine!" And with that quick wit of yours you returned,"Good morning, Moonbeam!" Even strangers could see your sweet aura. So many cherished memories come to mind in constant flashes, and although they make me so thankful to God that he shared you with me for that short period, it's just so difficult to rejoice in the fact that you're in the presence of Jesus now when your 'light' here on earth can no longer shine. I know I have NO RIGHT to feel this way....I ended our relationship because I cared too much about what OTHER's THOUGHT about our age differences and not enough about our feelings for one another. I've lost you twice my sweet, sweet Micah. My sister was the one who had to tell me of your passing. I told her I wished she hadn't.....I could forever live with the HOPE of maybe one day running into you somewhere and being able to look into those beautiful blue eyes of yours JUST ONCE MORE, and now I KNOW I never will. I'll never be able to tell you just how deeply sorry I am. Or how often I go through our pictures and wish for what I so carelessly threw away. If only I had to do it all over again.....if only....... I'm also sorry I couldn't go to your wake with my sister Coleen. I desperately needed that closure, but after how we ended, I just couldn't put your family through anymore grief by seeing me, who had no right to be there. They will forever be in my prayers, just as you will forever be in my heart.
Goodbye Sunshine. Julie

Dear Bonnie, Noah, Jacob & family & the entire Gifford & Pickett family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of Micah. My heart breaks for all of you right now. Micah was a great person; pleasant, funny, handsome and an inspiration to all of us. I was so glad to have known him and will miss him very much. It was a pleasure to talk with him when he came into the shop and an even greater pleasure to see when he finally cut that hair! I remember one time when he met my boys and talked with them in depth about Star Wars; they were so impressed! He always made it clear to me how little I knew about electronic devices!Micah was definitely one of a kind; I will never forget him. Please know if there is anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask. May God bless you all in your time of sorrow and keep you all in His care.
Sincerely,
Angela, Eric, Eric & Kyle

Dear All, MY heart cannot express the sadness of our loss. i've always had a special place in my heart for Micah. we were friends that could talk about anything. my last contact with Micah was over the summer when he visited me at my job. it was wonderful to see how successful he had become as a grown man. i will never forget his bright eyes and smile, he always shined. May God bless and keep him. he will alway be in my heart and prayers.
