Obituary of Paul L. Yorks

Mr. Paul L. Yorks, age 63 of Gloversville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Emergency Room. He was born September 17, 1945 in Gloversville, the son of the late Algy and Iona Dutcher Yorks. Over the years he has worked at Iva Knitting Mill, Vail Mills Drive-In Theater, Pan American Leather, Karg Brothers Inc; Adirondack Outdoor Ventures currently called the Adirondack Center and Perrone Leather. Paul loved to watch NASCAR and attending races at Fonda Speedway. He was married on September 2, 1967 to the former Ruth M. Frye who survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Barbie J. Lockwood Bob of Johnstown; four brothers, Raymond Yorks Elsie of Florida, Robert Yorks Mary of Wells, NY and also Vermont, Albert Yorks Bonnie of Johnstown and Dale Yorks of Mayfield; two grandsons, Robert Lockwood and James Lockwood; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
