SuAnn and family, Oh remembering the good times on Almond St. and "Mr. Heimer" showing me how to eat carrots right out of the ground, with much of the dirt still on them! It was a great garden and I'm still working on my peck of dirt. May he rest in Peace. Fondly, Steve Stofelano, Jr.

I am very sory to hear of John's passeng. I knew him from the late 50's when my father Harold "Cy" Aldrich and I worked at the Coca Cola plant. He used to work on the trucks. John Sr and he agreed to let me "help" repair my car. I was putting on the lug nuts, and proudly said "at least I know how to do these right". John looked and said "their backwards". They were gifted men.

John and I spent many hours with the Empire Statesmen getting ready for contests and just having fun. John and his father kept my truck on the road when I worked for Stewart's Ice Cream. If anyone wants to email me I have photo's of John and our Barbershop chorus.

Mrs. Heimer, Many years ago John and I were neighbors. I lived downstairs at 31 Orchard St and John lived upstairs at 29 Orchard St. We were born about week apart. As he moved away at a very young age,we have little history together, except some faded photos.
Please accept my condolences on your loss. I'm sure you spent productive and happy years together, which is what we can hope for. Sincerely, Wolf Conover

Dear Harriet and family,
I shall miss John very much although I hadn't actually seen him in some time I always knew he was there. I am especially glad that I had a chance to chat with him for some time on the phone several weeks ago. He was one of the last links I had with my dad.
I always remember him for his smile and sense of humor when we chatted down at the garage many years ago and when he was in the Yellow Jackets. He shall be missed by all who knew him.
I can only imagine what your family must be going through now. Take comfort in the fact that he is now in a better place. My love to you Harriet and to all your family.
