Obituary of Christopher L. Teabout
Mr. Christopher L. Teabout, 47, of Milton Ave, Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Friday February 6th, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on December 24th, 1961 a son of Martin and Maxine Roby Teabout. He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and a 1981 graduate of Amsterdam High School. Mr. Teabout served in the U.S. Army during the 1980's.
Mr. Teabout worked for many years at FGI in Amsterdam. He was an accomplished musician and drummer. He played in various bands in the area most notable The Lab. He was also a D.J. in the area and enjoyed gospel and spiritual music. He played pool in many area leagues and was a die hard Steelers and Yankees fan. Christopher was also a member of the Soul Saving Station For All Nations Church in Saratoga Springs, NY where he was an active member of the music ministry.
He is survived by his companion Virginia Mee of Amsterdam. Five brothers, Carlton Teabout Sheri of Las Vegas, Nevada. Martin E. Teabout Nelva of Johnstown, NY , Charles Teabout of Amsterdam, Jeffrey Teabout of Amsterdam and Michael Teabout of Rochester, NY. Four aunts, Marilyn Lyons, Bernice Gunther, Arlene Harp and Catherine Teabout. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mr. Teabout was predeceased by a sister Geraldine Teabout.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 10th, 2009 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Bishop Arnold Byrd presiding. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Soul Saving Station, 62 Henry St., Saratoga Springs, NY.
