Obituary of Kurtis William Glasser

Fultonville Kurtis William Glasser, 19, of Logtown Road passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in the Town of Glen. He was born in Amsterdam December 16, 1989 the son of Claire Spencer Glasser-Custer and Jeffrey Glasser both of Fultonville. Kurtis attended Canajoharie Middle School and Fonda-Fultonville High School where he enjoyed running on the track and cross-country teams. He also attended B.O.C.E.S. where he concentrated on culinary arts. In recent years, Kurtis enjoyed the summer months where he was employed at Saratoga Lake. He was a former member of the Fulmont Roadrunners Club and was a very energetic, outgoing and friendly individual who will be sadly missed by all of his family and many friends. His loving family includes his mother and step-father Claire and Barney Glasser-Custer of Fultonville, his father Jeffrey Glasser of Fultonville, his sister, Marissa Glasser and step-sister, Rebecca Custer both of Fultonville, his maternal grandmother, Janet Spencer of Charleston, his paternal grandparents, Bobbie Jeanne and Wayne Palombo of Rexford and Laurence and Janet Glasser of Tribes Hill, his great-grandmother, Helene Bradfield of Arkansas and his aunts and uncles, Effie and Greg Hauser, Lisa and Shawn Albertin, Lisa Dority, William Spencer and companion Candy, Todd and Allison Glasser, Scott and Amy Glasser, Michael and David Dority, William Alerding and Dana Palombo. Kurtis was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, William John Spencer and an aunt, Ruth Ann Alerding. Funeral Services will be at 9:00AM on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Ferndale Cemetery, N. Perry Street, Johnstown. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Contributions in Kurtis' memory may be made to the Fulmont Road Runners Club in c/o of the funeral home or to an animal shelter of one's choice.
