Rae,
I am saddened by the news of Steve's passing. It has been quite some time since we have spoken. I still have very fond memories of growing up as your neighbor. My heart and preayers go out to you!
Love,

A light from our family is gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in the home
Which never can be filled
We have to mourn the loss of one
We would've loved to keep
But God who surely loved him best
Has finally made him sleep
After a lifetime of his love and joy
And music to fill our ears
God leaves these wondrous memories
To help us through our tears.
Aunt Rae, We are grieved beyond words. Our love and prayers are with you always. I Susan remember the wonderful times that Nancy and I spent with you and Uncle Steve: the Thanksgiving Day Parades in New york City, staying overnight at your home Nancy and I attempting to stay out of trouble, pulling out all the plugs in the house during thunder storms, Uncle Steve's great humor, love, and generosity. He had a very big heart. We will miss his presence in our lives. God bless you in this time of sadness, and yet glory. Uncle Steve is with the angels - no doubt having some good golf games and social times.

I will always have great memories of not only playing golf with Steve but also, as a member of the Golf Commission, working with him on improving the course. The long hours he put in really made a difference. He truly cared.
