Obituary of Irving Harold Baum
Irving Harold Baum, died peacefully on March 6, 2017 in New York City.
Hal, as he was known, was born in Amsterdam, New York on November 2, 1937, the son of the late Sadie and Samuel Baum, brother to Ronald, and David and the late Joel Baum. He graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School and Cornell University, and served in the U. S. Army Reserves. He lived in New York City. His passion for golf led him to spend his summers in Sacandaga Park, where he forged many deep and lasting friendships. Even during the last stages of his illness, he never lost sight of the summers spent in Sacandaga and his friends, finding strength to get through the illness, and make it back for the summer golf season.
