To the entire family,
Mrs. Nassel was my favorite teacher at Truax Road Elementary School. She is the one teacher that truly inspired me.
She did so much with us - both in & out of the classroom. We learned CPR and took field trips into the woods behind the school to learn about plants, trees, etc. Some of my favorite memories.
She treated every child as special..giving us all the confidence in the world. She just had "that special touch" about her.
I feel truly Blessed to have know that lovely woman. Every time I ran into her over the years-she always knew me & remembered my name.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Most sincerely,
Ed & Barbara

I have to say that I am sorry I never got to meet Mrs.Nassel. My mom Diane Gotham Palmateertalked so highly of her. How I ended up meeting/seeing her beautiful handwritng was by pure family interaction. My girlfriend had sent me a recipe chain letter, so I sent it out to the five people with the address labels and didn't get any recipies back from any of the people I sent to. I did however receive a card with a little note inside that read "I am getting too old to write out a recipe for you but I wish you and David the best." Shocked I asked my mom do you know who this is. She told me that she was her teacher in school and taked all about field trips in the woods and handwriting. She told me that she wished Mrs. Nassel could give me handwriting lessons, but didn't know how she would know David. I called David and he said that Mrs. Nassel was his grandmother's sister. I was shocked. Looking back now I laugh some more and it makes me think how you never really all of ones family and who they are related to. So even though I never got to meet Mrs. Nassel she still holds a special place in my heart along with the special note and card that I have from her. My sincere condolences to the family. Tiffany
So sorry for your loss. David

Please accept my sincere condolences for your Mom, I have such wonderful memories of your Mom - she was my girl scout leader and she taught us how to sew, cook pork chops, make root beer, set a table and so much more I can't fit it all here. We had such fun and the memories of the wonderful times she gave us will always be with me. Your Mom was one of those very special people who touched a great many people and will always be one of my childhood heros. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She will be very missed - but I believe God must have a troup of Girl Scouts just waiting for her.

To the entire family,
Mrs. Nassel was my 6th grade teacher at Truax Road Elementary School. Her ability to teach was a gift-mostly to us, her students. We learned about nature and the world through her gentle eyes. She taught us how important handwriting was and prepared us to advance into the big "City" life of the Theodore Roosevelt Junior High School. I will never forget our field trip to the camp at Galway Lake where we had such fun and icecream sundaes. I am so proud to know that my daughter, Tiffany, married a member of "her" family-David Armitage. I only wish they had the chance to know and enjoy Mrs. Nassel as I did. She will always hold a huge spot in my heart and will be sorely missed.
In deepest sympathy,
Diane Gotham Palmateer

To the Family of Mrs. Nassel,
I was one of many children to pass through Mrs. Nassel's classroom. I had the good fotune to be her student at Truax School. She did so much with us - not just at the desk. We learned CPR and took field trips literally into the woods behind the school to learn about plants, etc.
Upon reading her obituary, I can see she lived a long and full life. She certainly left a mark on mine.
With sincere condolensces.
Thank you Mrs. Nassel.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Frances passing. Even though its been a good number of years since I've seen her _ I never forgot her. Her EMT training was stimulating and led me to become an instructor in addition I was a Board Member of the American Red Cross during her team. She ws a great inspiration to everyone. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
