Obituary of Anna Marie Brookmiller

Anna Marie Brookmiller, 94, died on March 19, 2009 at Nathan Littauer Extended Care Facility in Gloversville following a short illness. Born on November 29, 1914, Anna was the daughter of Elizabeth and Daniel Plummer. As a young child and for most of her adult life, Anna resided in Cranesville, enjoying the close-knit community of family and friends. She had a special appreciation for the beauty of her family's garden that surrounded her home near the banks of the Mohawk River. After graduating from school, Anna was employed by the General Electric Company in Schenectady. Known for her simplicity of faith and hospitable spirit, Anna was a parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Amsterdam, New York. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Harold Brookmiller. A resident of PineView Commons in Johnstown since 2006, Anna is survived by cousins and friends and is especially remembered by James and Patricia Fazzone whose childhood and education Anna appreciated with great joy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, E. Main St., Amsterdam with Fr. John Medwid as celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to gather prior to the mass from 10:00 to 10:30AM Monday morning at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.
