Obituary of Antoinette S. Bartosik
Mrs. Antoinette S. Bartosik, 83, of Darlene Drive, Ft. Johnson, NY, passed away Friday morning April 3rd, 2009 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on February 23rd, 1926 a daughter of Emmanuel and Elisabetta Carretta Pacillo. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a Graduate of Amsterdam High School.. Mrs. Bartosik worked for many years at the Fownes Brothers Glove Mill in Amsterdam. She also was a homemaker and a Foster Mother of five.
She married Leon Bartosik on November 3rd, 1946 and he passed away on December 23rd, 2000. Antoinette enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially on her numerous family vacations in Cape Cod. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs Bartosik was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.
Survivor's include one son, Richard Bartosik and his wife Linda of Ft. Johnson, NY. Five beloved grandchildren, Gregory St. Amour, Tina Hughes, Rebecca St. Amour, Erin Bartosik and Ashley Bartosik. Six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Antoinette was predeceased by her daughter Karen Ann Bartosik St. Amour on June 30th, 2007 and was pre-deceased by seven brothers, Francis, Anthony, Dominick, William, Michael, Frank and Annunzio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 6th, 2009 at 10:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, St. John St., Amsterdam with Rev. Lawrence J. Decker as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday April 5th, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, Manny Corners Rd., Amsterdam, NY 12010. Antoinette's family would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Community Hospice of Amsterdam for all of their care. Also thank you to Isabel Pacelli Czech and Elizabeth Ann Pacillo, words cannot express the love we have for you for all you've done for Mom.
