Obituary of William Edward Meleski

William Edward Meleski 85, of Ocean Blvd. , Lauderdale By The Sea, passed away peacefully Thursday April 9th, 2009 at his home after a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam on May 20, 1923, the son of the late William and Anna Alexander Meleski, he lived here for many years before retiring and moving to Florida. He was married to the Alice Hage Meleski for fifty two years. In addition to his beloved wife, he was predeceased by his dear friend, Bette Charlton Hutton. Bill served with the US Army in World War II. Hel had a long career that spanned nearly forty years with General Electric Company in Schenectady and was a member of it's Quarter Century Club. Services are set for Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Fr. John Medwid will officiate. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Bill's name locally to the Community Hospice Of Amsterdam in care of the funeral home office.
