Obituary of Kristofer Daniel Strouse

Kristofer Daniel Strouse, 17, of Gloversville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Kristofer was born on October 20, 1991 the son of John Strouse and Melissa Rava. Kristofer was a senior at Gloversville High School. Kristofer loved playing basketball, anytime-anywhere. He enjoyed making everybody laugh. Kristofer was always full of energy. He loved his cell phone and texting all of his friends. He loved Lil' Wayne's music. Most of all, Kristofer loved his family and his friends and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Kristofer is survived by his father, John Strouse and his companion Jennifer Weems of Sarasota, FL; his mother, Melissa Rava and her companion Scott Egan of Johnstown; five siblings: Stephanie Ila Strouse and her fiancé Pat Smith of Gloversville, Brandon Strouse and his fiancée Tiffany Capparello of Gloversville, Bryan Strouse of Johnstown, Breanna Strouse of Northville and Alonna Strouse of Sarasota, FL. Additional survivors include his maternal grandparents: Ruth and Stan Waddle of Caroga Lake and John Rava of Canajoharie; his paternal grandparents Rabbi Martin and Ann Gordon of Gloversville; two nieces: Alissa and Jalyn Smith and one nephew, Brennan Strouse. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive. Kristofer was preceded in death by his two paternal grandfathers: Daniel Strouse and Charles Catanzaro. Friends and relatives are invited and may call on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 16 at the Foothills United Methodist Church at 10 am with the Reverend Cynthia Van Allen presiding. Interment and balloon release ceremony will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
