Obituary of Eileen Van De Walker
Eileen Van De Walker, 84, of Dairy hill Road passed away Saturday at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica. She was living at the Masonic Care Community, for a short time.
Born February 17, 1925 in Little Falls, New York she was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn McDonald Smith. She was a graduate of the Little Falls High School. During WWII she was trained as a Nurse Cadet for two years.
Eileen was employed by the First Trust Bank in Albany for many years as an Assistant Manager.
She loved skiing and was an avid skier for 40 years, skiing the Alps of Europe and the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico, Utah and Colorado.
Eileen also enjoyed fly fishing the local streams and lakes with her own hand tied flies. She loved horses and rode her own horse for many years.
She was predeceased by her child a number of years ago.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and a good friend George Wm Fiebka.
Funeral service will be private and burial will take place in Perth Cemetery in Perth, NY. There will be no calling hours.
