Obituary of James Glass

Mr. James Glass, 43, of Vrooman Ave, Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Albany, NY on January 22nd, 1966, he was a son of Henry Mallory and Shelane Ware. He was a resident of Albany for many years and attended Albany High School. He worked for a time at the Albany Medical Center Hospital and also at the Albany County Nursing Home as a security guard. James loved fishing and making videos of the family. He is survived by his loving wife Christall Allen Glass who he married June 1, 2002. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Alexis Glass and Jamia Glass; his father, Henry Mallory of Ellicott City, MD; his mother, Shelane Ware of Amsterdam, NY; four brothers, Andrew Ware, Roosevelt Glass, David Jackson and Somali Mallory; five sisters, Annie Thatcher, Elaine Major, Melinda Pair, Sharon Mallory and Donna Mallory; his mother-in-Law, Sarajane Allen and father-in-Law, Carey Allen; aunts, Esterlene Brown, Mattie M. Ware-Harris, Deloris Petersen and Nola Mitchell and uncles, Jerry Frank and Henry Ware, Jordan, El Meaco, Willie, Alphonzo, Clausell and Tommy Mallory. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. To celebrate James' life close friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception on Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at 6:00PM at the Amsterdam Masonic Lodge, 34 Division Street in Amsterdam, NY. James' family would like to thank Dr. Cynthia Miller, Dr. Alexander Zimmerman, St. Mary's Hospital and the Hospice Unit for their many kindnesses shown to James and his family during his last days.
