Obituary of Robert Lee Humphrey

Mr. Robert Lee Humphrey, age 64, of Humphrey Lane, Town of Perth, died Friday afternoon, May 22, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam. He was born on May 9, 1945 in Jamaica, NY, the son of the late Leland and Dorothy Humphrey. He worked as a mailing manager at Bulk Mailing, Inc. in Mount Vernon for 18 years while beginning his collection of art. He was owner and operator of the Triple H Boarding Kennel in Perth where he lived and cared for local pets for 22 years. Robert was an excellent family man and role model. He will be remembered for his belief in traditional family values. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Mary Faingnaert; a daughter, Christine M. Matuk-Lockwood and son-in-law Norman Lockwood; two granddaughters, Jessica L. Matuk and Catherine A. Matuk and a grandson-in-law, Lucas H. Clouthier. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the family home on 136 Humphrey Lane in the Town of Perth. Friends may call at the the home prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to to 2:00 p.m. Cremation took place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Community Health Center Inc; 2 W. Main St; Johnstown, NY 12095. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
