Obituary of Richard M. Voudry
Richard M. Voudry, 66, of Gloversville passed away at his home on Wednesday June 24, 2009.
He was born in Gloversville on January 10, 1943, the son of Paul and Rose Capparello Voudry.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Gloversville and was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church.
Dick was the owner of the Dixie Grill in Johnstown for 21 years as well as the owner and operator of J & R Industrial Coatings, Inc. He was proud to be affiliated with the Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed golfing, as well as spending quality time with his family.
Dick is survived by his wife Lynn Way Voudry of Gloversville; his mother Rose Capparello Voudry of Gloversville; three daughters: Lisa Summerfield of Gloversville, Rebecca Brownell Todd of Edinburg, and Kristie Case Richard of Ft. Plain. Additional survivors include: five grandchildren: Edward, Richard, Nicholas, Brianna and Haley; two great- grandchildren: Lilianna and Giovanna. Several cousins and Richard's dog, Jessie, also survive.
Friends and relatives are invited and may call Friday June 26, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A prayer service will take place at 9:15 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2009 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church in Gloversville with Rev. David E. Noone as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Johnstown with Military Honors.
