Obituary of Susan Lee McBurnie

Mrs. Susan Lee McBurnie, 61, of Mohawk Drive, Tribes Hill, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 following a long illness. Born on October 27, 1947 she was the daughter of the late George and Shirley Brooker Skinner. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Fonda High School. She worked for Mohasco for a time before going to work for Amsterdam Print and Litho Company. She was a member of the Northeast Woodworkers Association, enjoyed gardening and was strong supporter of animals. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her family includes her husband of 35 years, David McBurnie; three step children, David McBurnie and his wife Susan of Charlton, Christopher McBurnie of Saratoga and Becky McBurnie of Saratoga; two brothers, Bruce Skinner of Gloversville and Rick Skinner and his wife Sally of Amsterdam; one sister, Sandra Tucciarone and her husband Anthony of Tribes Hill; two grandchildren, David and Andrea McBurnie; her grandmother, Mary Brooker of Broadalbin; her uncle, Gary Brooker of Broadalbin; her aunt, Leila Lajeunesse of CT; her two canine companions, Willie and Rugar; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 3 until 5 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
