I will never forget Ann Marie, her wonderful laugh and strong sense of being. Thinking of this loss I deeply regret not staying in better contact.
I have some great photos of her on the beach in California.... Happy to send some to family.

Dear Family-So sorry for all our loss. Ann Marie stopped by our beach house many a time for a laugh, quick dip or heartfelt, sitdown talk. You couldn't stay glum around her. Heaven will be a richer place for her presence.

Ann Marie was a good friend of mine and I was always glad to see her. She was certainly not a shrinking violet! You knew where you stood with her, whether you wanted to know or not. She inspired me with her enthusiasm and vibrancy. I will miss my dear friend, and may G-d bless all her family with peace during their time of mourning.

Hi, I hadn't seen Ann in years but offen thought about her after all she was my first girlfriend back in 1969. We spent a lot of time together going places and doing things that have always given me fond memories. Not to be impolite but we had given her the name Ann the man which she excepted and never got upset about and it stuck. I will miss her very much and I would like to apologize for not making it to the funeral but I didn't learn of this until last night, the 8th, all my love to the family. Jim Pakenas

I am one of those lifes that Ann Marie touched, she contributed a great deal to my life of sobriety I first meet Ann Marie in 2004 at St.Marys rehab she took a liking to me right away and took me under her wing, she liked that I was irish and always commented on my hair and pugged nose, told me what a wonderful life I could have living sober and taught me the true meaning of love and appreciation for the AA fellowship. I had no idea she was sick,if I had I certainly would have been there for my friend, as she was always there for me I am greatly sadden for the lose of a beautiful loving woman,Ann Marie was a gift from above and will remain in my heart forever, my sincere condolences.

My deepest Condolences to all of you. Losing a sibling before their time leaves a very big void in you life, but hang onto all the good memories and remember all those times when you laughed until your sides ached and there were tears in your eyes. Having lost my brother John recently I know your loss and sometimes emptiness. If there is anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to call me.
Love to all of you
Bonnie

To the Mahon family, Ann and I go back many years. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding. We lost touch when she moved to California, but when she returned we got together as much as we could. While in the hospital we talked on the phone a couple of times. Will miss her bubbly personality and great sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to the family. She will always live in my heart and memory. Live well, laugh often, and love much. Sincerely, Karen LaVoie

Ann Marie and I got back in touch with each other after 30 years and how happy we both were. We had spent most of our youth together and what fun we did have especially dancing, swimming at Caroga Lake and playing basketball at the Fultonville school. Years passed but when we got together we hadn't skipped a beat. We would talk on the phone for hours and I got to come back twice and how great that was...we talked and talked more. She was my most special childhood friend and I shall miss her infectious laugh and strong sense of being. Ann Marie was a one in a million person and my life was blessed with having known her. I shall miss her each and everyday. God truly has one of his best angels back at his side.

My sincerest sympathy to the family. Ann Marie and I were coworkers at CCSC and I knew the first time I met her that she was a 'precious gem' and beautiful soul. We kidded each other over our Irish heritage, mine being a MOHAN. She always had a warm friendly way about her and would brighten every dreary day. My heart goes out to you all. I know I will miss her and therefore I don't know how you'll get along without her in your lives.

My Dear Mahon Family, I am filled with such sadness. The last time I saw Ann Marie was in the Post Office and she said "I'm off to Florida for the weekend Isn't that extravagent!" I remember riding the bus together to Scully with many a laugh. She will be so sorely missed by me and many more people whose heart she also touched! My deepest sympathy to the family
