Obituary of Joyce M. Coons Dillenbeck

Fultonville/Montgomery County Joyce M. Coons Dillenbeck, 75, of Division Street, Gloversville formerly of Fonda, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 11, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in Fonda February 13, 1934 a daughter of the late William and Ruth Hetrick Coons. Joyce was a life resident of the area and attended schools in Fonda. She worked at General Electric Co. in Schenectady for several years before injuries sustained in an automobile accident forced her into early retirement. Joyce had a deep love for family and enjoyed her years raising her nine children. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and was an avid BINGO player. Her loving family includes her five daughters, Linda Ed Bianco of Port St. Lucie, FL, Charlene Dhooge of North Richland Hills, TX, Arlene Liebing of Palatine Bridge, Mary Smith Greg Moakof Ft. Plain and Susan Lavoy of Gloversville, her four sons, William H. Smith, Jr. of Montana, Richard Belinda Brothenton of Tennessee, Ronald Smith of Dolgeville, and Timothy Darlene Smith of Sprakers, and her sisters and brothers, Marie Almond of Amsterdam, Florence Giuffre of Fonda, Robert Coons of Tennessee, John Coons of Fonda, and William and James Coons both of Davenport, FL. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be at 1:00PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072 with Rev. Kenneth Dingman, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00PM at the funeral home.
