Pat and family. You have my sympathy in the passing of Corkey. He was truly special. I've always admired him, and for good reason. A couple of times I remember him from in particular. I ran into him at Camp Smith, during a National Guard drill. We were all suited up for riot training. He came up to me and said "hi", surprising me as he raised his face guard. Several years later, I was getting off the Thruway, on my way to the Mass Pike. It was about 4:00 AM, and very foggy. Again, he recognized me and said "hi". Here again, I was surprised, seeing him through the dark and fog. I just never knew where I would run into him. He will be missed.
