Obituary of Mary Louise Dado

Mary Louise Dado, 89, of Amsterdam, died Friday July 24, 2009 at the River Ridge Living Center LLC in Amsterdam. Born in Gonzales, Texas on December 26, 1919, she was a daughter of Felix and Maggie Radigan Chenault. She was a resident of this area for most of her life. Mary was a hard worker and was employed for the General Electric Company during World War II. She later worked at the former Chalmers Knitting Mill in Amsterdam until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amsterdam. She married Henry J. Dado on August 5th, 1942. He passed away in 1997. Mary is survived by two daughters, Darlene Reichard David of Delanson, NY and Nancy Capel Gary of Amsterdam; three grandchildren, Margaret Heitkamp, Katie and Christopher Capel and three great-grandchildren, Bonnie, Sara and Andrew Heitkamp. A cousin Frances Radigan also survives. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Chenault and a sister, Margaret Daniels. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 27th, 2009 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the funeral service beginning at 11:00am Monday at the funeral home.
