Obituary of Louise Lanzi LoBalbo
Louise Lanzi LoBalbo 95, passed away early Friday morning at the home of her daughter in Towson Md.
Born in Amsterdam, she lived here her entire life until eight years ago when she moved to Maryland to be with her daughter and family. Louise was employed in the family s business, Lanzi s Restaurant on Bridge Street in Amsterdam. She later retired from the General Electric Company in Schenectady.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph LoBalbo.
Louise is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Amalia Louise Candy Philipp and her husband Brian of Towson, MD; her grandson Reagan Philipp of New York City, NY and her granddaughter, Meredith Philipp of Washington D.C.; a sister, Madeline and her husband Peter Duchessi of Amsterdam; a brother, Herman Lanzi and his wife Delia of Parish, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 am, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:15 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment is in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Louise s memory to the Patricia Lanzi D Agostino Art Scholarship Fund, 253 Market Street, Amsterdam 12010, or the Loyola Blakefield Christian Service Dept., 500 Chestnut Avenue, Towson, Md., 21204.
