Obituary of Irene Eckert

Irene Eckert, 95, of Liberty Enterprises Old Trail Rd. residence in Fonda, NY passed away Monday August 24th, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. . Born in Letchworth, NY on May 27th, 1914 a daughter of Lehla Eckert. She was a resident with Liberty for over 30 years and had been recognized as the oldest persons with Liberty and one of the oldest persons enrolled in ARC in New York State. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and of the Protestant Faith. She enjoyed knitting, wearing jewelry, going out to eat and shopping. Irene had a good sense of humor and loved being around friends and their families. Survivors include her housemates, caregivers and her extended Liberty family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 26th, 2009 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Rev. Cynthia Leonard presiding. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday August 26th, 2009 one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00A.M. at the funeral home.
