Shirley, It's almost a year now but I just learned today that Ed passed away in Aug. 2009. I wish that in all the years my family visited w/Ed's cousin Marie & my Uncle Tom that we had met but I'm greatful for the days we spent together in Pearl River. YOu can't imagine how being with you helped me through my loss; my Uncle Tom was such a favorite of mine. I hope you had people in your life as kind to you as I was blessed with having met you during that time in my life.
I'm sure you miss Ed. He was a
Decent Man....Lucky Man and so much more.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Ed, as his passing has affected more than imaginable in the Adirondack region, as well as home here in the Hudson Valley Region of NY. Shirley called me about two weeks ago to let me know about this unfortunate occurance... I was the individual whom bought the remnants of the Fly shop from Ed, and have since started a successful shop here in the Catskills which never would have started without his help. Without Ed I couldn't have ever lived my dream, and I am forever greatful to him for that. He truly has payed it forward. May he rest in peace and may his legend live on forever in his flies, his rivers, and his words.

i was so sad when i heard about uncle ed. i was in pennsylvania where i still am. i was so hoping i would make it home for his services but it does not look like i will be. i will definatly be calling you. i hope your doing ok. if you see uncle frank give him a hug to..

Dear Aunt Shirley,We were sadden by the call from Aunt Donna, telling the passing of Uncle Eddie.
