Obituary of Richard D. Tesiero

Richard D. Tesiero, 63, of Gray Street, passed away Tuesday evening at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness with family at his side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Richard and Jane Hammond Tesiero, he lived here his entire life. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years, and developed his passion for cars during that time. He also owned and operated the former A-1 Taxi Company in Fulton County. His loving family includes his sons; Richard D. Tesiero Jr. of Perth, Timothy M. Tesiero of Gloversville, Jay T. Tesiero Sr., of Johnstown, Jamie R. Tesiero of Johnstown, Eric D. Tesiero of Vail Mills, and Daniel R. Svenson of Johnstown; daughters; Laura L. Cook of Meco, Amy B. Hall of Gloversville, Shannon Svenson of Oneonta and Nicole Tesiero of Gloversville; his step father; William Sing of Amsterdam; sisters; Debbie, Linda and Kimberly; nineteen grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of remembrance will take place on Friday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. The Rev. Cynthia Leonard presiding. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A calling hour will commence at 10:00am Friday prior to the service. A gathering will follow the interment at 144 5th Avenue, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
