Obituary of Robert Frederick

Robert Frederick Jr, age 60, of Broadalbin, passed away Monday September 21, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Schenectady, NY on April 27, 1949, the son of the late Robert Sr. and Lillian Frampton Frederick. He was educated in the Greater Johnstown School District. Robert spent some time in the United States Army, where he taught Vietnam Tactics at West Point. Robert was also proud to have called cadence during his time at West Point. On April 15, 1995 Robert married Judy L. Schulze Frederick. They shared 14 years united in marriage. Robert was known to have a wonderful sense of humor and be a jack of all trades. He loved cars and loved to work on them. Some other hobbies Robert had were to go hunting, fishing, and shooting his guns with his friends Ron Page and Bill Montgomery. He loved being outdoors, where he also enjoyed camping and four wheeling. He also loved his dogs. In addition to his wife Judy, Robert is survived by his four children: David Frederick Lisa of Glenville, Robin Frederick-Jewell, Robert Frederick III Kelli of Cocoa, Fl, and Joseph Raymond Frederick Jessica of Merritt Island, Fl; One cousin who Robert thought of as a brother, Phillip Frederick Karen of Gloversville. Additional Survivors include eight grandchildren: Danika Shea, Ryan Joseph, Caila Diane, Thai Kree, Tia Michele, Logan Hunter, Chance Dylan, and Deven Austin. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday September 24, 2009 at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home; 85 West Main Street; Broadalbin. Cremation will follow at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice; 108 Steele Avenue; Gloversville, NY 12078. Robert's family would like to thank all of the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice, and especially Mindy at Mountain Valley Hospice for their kindness and caring during the last few months.
