Obituary of Storm L. Cross

Storm L. Cross, 66, of Gloversville, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Nathan Littauer Hospital surrounded by her loving husband of 46 years and her daughter. Born on September 6, 1950 in Gloversville, she was a daughter of the late Merlin G. Daggett and Carolyn Baird. Storm attended Gloversville High School, graduating in 1968; she then went on to receive her associates degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College. Storm was a previous receptionist for Dr. Mattison & Rojek Medical Practice. Storm will always be remembered for her love of her family, especially her grandchildren, and her love of her dogs. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving family, husband, William D. Cross Sr. of Gloversville; daughter, Amanda Embree (Thomas Dillenbeck) of Gloversville; sons, William D. "Hurricane" Cross, Jr. (Christy) of Shalimar, Florida and Brandon J.P. Cross (Lisa) of Tribes Hill; her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored so much, Alexandria Shaffer, Isabell Storm Embree, Abigail Embree, Alivia Dillenbeck, Sophia Dillenbeck, Kayla Dillenbeck, Brittany Dillenbeck, Alicia Cross, Jacob Cross, Deacon Cross, Lillian Cross and Jayson Hulbert; great-granddaughter, Braelyn Dillenbeck; adopted daughter, Stephanie Boulware; sister, Gale Dence (Alvin) of Gloversville; cousins, Audrey Flint and Bonnie Fredricks. Besides her parents, Storm was predeceased by her step-father, Stanley Batcum. A memorial service for Storm will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
