My condolences to the family. Mr. Hency was a friend of my late husband, Herb Kling. They corresponded with each other for many years. They both had fond memories of their childhood and the local happenings, many of which they wrote about often! We thoroughly enjoyed reading Mr. Hency's columns and my husband kept them in a notebook to read and share with others. We have lost much in their passing - that generation certainly knew the meaning of family, friendship and caring for others. It will be a long time, if ever, that another generation such as theirs does as much for their fellow man....again, my sincere condolences on his passing.

Heart-sister,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. After losing mom in February, Jim's mom in April and now your dad, it has been a hard year. My personal belief is he is now at peace and without pain. May you and your family remember the good times you had with him.

Debbie, I can't think of another person in Montgomery County that will be missed as much as your Dad, He was an ICON in the newspaper reporting industry - and a great friend and co-worker; he was extremely knowledgeable of Mohawk Valley History & so interesting to talk to. Truly a Dad to be proud of. Please know that our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. Ray & Sue Leavitt.
