Obituary of Angelina Autilio

Mrs. Angelina "Lea" Autilio, age 82 of Johnstown, passed away peacefully following a long illness on Wednesday morning, October 7, 2009 at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown. She was born July 7, 1927 in New York City, the daughter of Ralph and Esther Colaianni. She graduated from high school in New York City and come to the Gloversville area when she married Emanuel R. "Manny" Autilio on May 1, 1954. Lea was employed as a bookkeeper by the former Trent & Nielson Harware in Johnstown for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Johnstown, and was a former member of the Christian Women Society. She loved cooking, sewing and crocheting. Survivors include her son, Mark J. Autilio and his wife Sharon of Gloversville, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lea was predeceased by her parents, also her husband, "Manny" in 1998, and her sister, Elizabeth Patone. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Church, Nicholas St; Johnstown. The Rev. Kenneth Swain will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc; Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4. Suite 405; Washington Ave. Ext; Albany, NY 12205.
