Obituary of Victoria Griffiths

Victoria Griffiths, 47, of Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 25, 2017 at her home. Born in Amsterdam, NY on January 16, 1970 a daughter of the late David B. and Jean B. Beyer Griffiths. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended Amsterdam High School. Victoria worked for many years at McDonalds and later Burger King both in Amsterdam. She also helped part-time at Fonda Speedway concession where she worked with her family. She was of the Mormon Faith. Victoria was very involved in NAMI at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital and PROS GROUP of St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Victoria was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking-baking and painting. She also enjoyed attending church service when possible. She won first place at the craft fair at the Fonda Fair in 2016 with one of her paintings and was so very proud of that accomplishment. Holiday parties with family and friends also gave her great joy. Survivors include her siblings, David (Mindy) Griffiths of Pocatello, ID, Monte(Shauna) Griffiths of Pocatello, ID, Tye Griffiths, of Gloversville, N.Y., Kim Griffiths of Pocatello ID; and Ginger (Anthony) Muscatiello of Waterford, N.Y. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. All are invited to a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 417 Steele Ave. Ext. Gloversville, NY. Following the gathering the family invites relatives and friends to attend a calling period from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at the church. Funeral services will commence at 1:00PM. Immediately following the service internment will be in Fairview Cemetery, in Amsterdam, N.Y.
