Obituary of Viola E. Edgar

Viola E. Edgar, 82, of Wall Street, passed away Thursday evening at her home, with her loving family at her side. Born January 10, 1927, in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lloyd Peterson. She moved to Amsterdam 35 years ago and was a homemaker. She was an outdoor person, loved her family, enjoyed cooking, and especially enjoyed going for a drive with her son Jr. In 1944 she married Orville Edgar, who passed away Dec. 2, 1970. She is also predeceased by a son Lester Edgar who passed away in 2007. Survivors include sons Lloyd Marilyn Edgar of Amsterdam, Edward Debby Edgar of Waterbury, CT and John Edgar of Amsterdam; a daughter Sharon Michael Waldynski of Broadalbin; several grandchildren and one grandson Lloyd Edgar, Jr., who was like her own son; great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of the family, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematory in Schenectady. Arrangements are under the direction of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.
