Obituary of Jo-Ann Wyszomirski
Jo-Ann Wyszomirski, 71, of Lindsey Street, passed away early Saturday morning at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving son at her side.
Born in Gloversville on October 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clinton T. and Lizzy Ella Bush Craig, and was a 1956 graduate of Gloversville High School. Jo-Ann worked at the former Warehouse Market in Amsterdam and later for thirty-five years at Price Chopper as a cashier, retiring several years ago. Her career enabled her to meet many people whom she considered dear friends throughout the years.
She loved to travel and camp in the out doors where she enjoyed nature, especially butterflies. Jo-Ann's life was first and foremost about her family, especially her son and grandsons whom she adored. She never missed any of their sporting events and was their number one fan.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith and a communicant of St. Mary's Parish.
Her loving family includes her son William M. and his wife Lisa Wyszomirski ; grandsons; Garin and Troy Wyszomirski all of Amsterdam; sisters Shirley Frederick of Gloversville and Charlotte and her husband Robert Jock of Plattsburgh; nieces Kathy Kovarovic, Kimberly Sorrell and Bobbi-Jo Otis; nephews Michael and Thomas Frederick; grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 156 East Main Street. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4-7 pm Monday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment is at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Cancer Society both in care of the funeral home office.
