Obituary of Margaret L. Moore
Margaret L. Moore, R.N., 86, formerly of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, passed away Sunday morning at the Baptist Health Care in Scotia.
Born in Olean, NY on December 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Sara Demmick Moore. She served with the US Army during World War II. Margaret retired in the late 1980's as a registered nurse for Monroe County.
She resided in Henrietta, NY and was an active parishioner of Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church there and was a member of the Thomas Merton Society. She was active with the Meals On Wheels in Rochester, and was a docent at the Rochester Museum. She moved to Amsterdam August of 2003.
She leaves her niece Sara S. Marcille of Reidsville N.C., and a nephew William Stinson of Valrico, Fla.; grandnieces and nephews also survive.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday Nov. 14th at 10:00 am at Guardian Angels Church in Henrietta, NY. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Disease Association of New York, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse NY 13204.
Her arrangements have been place into the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.
