Obituary of Rebecca Anne Zukas
Broadalbin/Fulton County
Rebecca Anne Zukas, 42, of County Hwy 126, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Albany Medical Center. She was born in Amsterdam July 15, 1967 a daughter of Gary Lee Bishop and the late Cynthia Perfetti Bishop.
Rebecca was a life resident of the area and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. She worked in the Amsterdam area as a Home Health Aid and is remembered by many for her work at the Sarah Jane Sanford Home for Elderly Women.
She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed reading spending time with her family.
Her loving family includes her father, Gary Lee Bishop of Rotterdam, her husband Michael J. Zukas of Broadalbin whom she married June 22, 2007, her son William Caswell of Amsterdam, her step-children Timothy and Harmony Zukas of Broadalbin and Amanda VanDerWorker-Zukas of Saratoga, and her father and mother-in-law William and Diane Zukas of Fort Johnson.
In addition to her mother, Rebecca was predeceased by her brother, Gary Lee Bishop, Jr.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY with Fr. Pascal Iannotti, officiating.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 17th in Memory's Garden, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Leukemia Society, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, NY 12205.
