I have just found out about Arda's death and am very sorry. i know she is very happy to be united the Lord and her many friends and relatives. She packed so much living into her life with her love in travel. I had her as a teacher in the third grade and was her friend thru her friendship with my parents as well as fellow members thru church. One big memory I have is the formation of the Ann Marie Fan Club in school - we students wrote to Ann Marie in Australia and got together weekly to read the letters we received back and to learn about Australia. What a wonderful way it was to learn literacy and geography! Her husband Millard was instrumental in imparting to me a love for history especially in the Mohawk Valley. I now live far from the valley but it remains a part of my psyche.

Aunt Arda, we sure will miss you. We have many fond memories of you and Uncle Millard. As I look at my Christmas tree and the ornaments you have made for us over the years I'm glad I'll have them as memories. Some have hung on the tree for over 25 years.
You are now at peace and with Dad and Millard.
Thank you for being a wonderful Aunt.
Love
Carol

My sincere condolences to the family of Arda Crane. Arda was my supervising teacher at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School. She was a great friend and inspiration to me in all her qualities both on a professional and personal level. I will miss her beautiful letters around Christmas time but will remember the many memories that she and her beloved Millard shared with me. As a "city girl," she taught me so much about life and teaching. Arda, God has taken you to meet Millard. Life has certainly been good, and I will miss you immensely!

I'm Free?..
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took God's hand when I heard the call;
I turned my back-and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me-
God wanted me now, God set me free.
To a wonderful person who helped so many, we find comfort that she is now with her ?Lord and Savior?

Dear Aunt Arda,
I will sincerely miss you and your smile. I will also miss your preserves - especially your green pepper jelly. Your charity and energy was amazing.

My condolences to Mrs. Cranes family. As my 3rd grade teacher, I considered her one of the greatest teachers for the lessons she taught and the enthusiasm she gave to her students. She will surely be missed by many of us.

To the Crane Family,
Our family was sorry to hear of the passing of "Mrs.Crane", she was a wonderful teacher and delightful woman to be around. She was loved by all who know her. We remember her from our elementary days and she always had a warm smile and kind word for everyone. She worked hard to make sure Fonda will always be a part of history.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
