Obituary of Dona Ann Wells

Dona Ann Wells, 77, passed away at her home in Schenectady, NY on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Dona was born on January 31, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Ted and Betty Strobeck of Ballston Spa, NY, where she lived for many years before moving to Schenectady. She worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses including Ashton Companies, Clemente Latham and Eckert Mechanical Service. Survivors include her loving husband Henry Hank Wells, five children; Karen Brown Dean Elsworth, Russell Brown Cathy, Jim Brown, Command Sergeant Major Lori Brown and Kelly McLaughlin Patrick. She adored her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her husband's three daughters, Dorothy Pollack, Joyce Zakrzewski and Patricia Allen and their families. She was a member of the Zephyrhills Moose Lodge 2276 and Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved watching hummingbirds, spending time at the camp at Lake Desolation, communicating with family and friends via the internet, was overwhelmingly proud of the children's accomplishments and was on level 50 in Farm Town. Friends and family are invited to attend burial services at Gerald B. H. Saratoga National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Zephyrhills Moose Lodge 2276, 3211 Gall Boulevard, Zephyrhills, FL 33541 or, in honor of her family's decades of military service, the Fisher House Foundation, Inc., 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850-5168.
