Obituary of Frederick D. Senecal

Frederick D. Senecal Sr., age 70, of Broadalbin passed away on Saturday December 12, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Frederick was born on September 29, 1939 in Saratoga Springs the son of the late Charles D. and Catherine Quick Senecal. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Frederick worked for Schenectady International Inc. in Rotterdam Junction for several years. Frederick enjoyed fishing and had an unmatchable love for animals. To show his love for animals, he donated to the ASPCA every month. He is survived by a son: Frederick D. Senecal Jr. of Schenectady; five daughters Dawne Becker Scott of Broadalbin, Sarah Stewart of Broadalbin, Katherine Becker of Broadalbin, Michelle Lindquist of Galway and Iris Smith Fred of Tribes Hill; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additional survivors include: a companion Loretta Bleyl, an honorary daughter Andrea Bleyl, a brother Bruce Senecal, a sister Lillian Reynolds and several nieces and nephews. Interment will take place in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY on Monday December 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home; 85 West Main Street; Broadalbin. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Frederick's memory to the James Brennen Humane Society; 437 Nine Mile Tree Road; Gloversville, NY 12078.
