Annie,
I was so very surprised to read about Mike. The weather kept me from coming. He and I graduated together and you and I terrorized Moffits Beach staff for many summers. Esther crops up in my memories at funny times with fondness. Dear Maggie, Betsy and Lori,
I had intended to come today to be with you in some way at this terrible time. The weather was very bad this morning and I missed my train. But I wanted to tell you all how much I appreciated living next door to your family as a child and the care you gave me as a second family. I have so many good memories of your house and especially of playing with Betsy with the legos and Barbies, making videos, playing store in the basement and of swimming in the pool. And of course,Mike was often there to make sure we stayed out of trouble! I thank you all for these experiences that shaped me, and I wish the world didn't take us all quite so far away from one another. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers, especially now, but I think of you often with many smiles. I hope your own memories of the joy you shared and continue to share as a family can somehow comfort you in this difficult time.

Dear Maggie, Lori, Betsy and all of Mike's family,
We're so very sorry for your loss. Mike was such a nice man. He was always very kind to us....and always had a smile ! I used to laugh when we'd see him out to dinner and he was always asking, "Where's your father????" Lol. He was always happy to see him...especially that Thanksgiving at Nicolino's ! I know the past year was very difficult for him health wise and with the loss of Sue. As difficult as this is, I know he's now at peace & having a happy reunion .
Please know that we are thinking of you all in your time of sadness. May you rest in peace, Mike; you will never be forgotten.
