Obituary of Donald F. Yoxall

Mr. Donald F. Yoxall, 80, formerly of Wells Road, Pattersonville, died peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Van Rensselaer Manor Home in Troy. Born on October 3, 1929 in Rome, NY he was the son of the late Charles and Marie Yoxall. A resident of Pattersonville for over 30 years, Don was employed as an Iron Worker for Local #12 in Albany. He was of the Roman Catholic faith as will be remembered for being a true cowboy. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by several children, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and many friends. Tipping his hat without looking back- to those he touched on this journey. He holds his head high, lets out a sigh, watching a beautiful sunset fade. And night comes on the wings of angels, calling a billion stars to his side. Carrying him away to his "forever home", this cowboy's final ride. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 4 until 7 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home. In keeping with Don's wishes there are no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Van Rensselaer Manor, 85 Bloomingrove Drive, Troy, NY 12180. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Van Rensselaer Manor for all they have done over the last 9 years for my father. I know he will miss all of you. You will always be in my heart, love you, granddaughter, Christina Konwisarz.
