Dear Patty and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Larry and wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so thankful that I saw Larry this past summer in Ames at my parents, and we took the time to reminisce about high school and other classmates. We spoke of his brother Gary, and Larry expressed concern about his son's health, but did not dwell on his own health issues. In fact he spoke fondly of the walks he would take with you, Patty.
He was such a wonderful, kind, thoughtful man and my parents trusted his judgment and the people he sent to help them take care of their lawn. He inquired about my mother's health and because of Larry, Jeff Rickett subsequently called her which made her day!
I know that Larry will be greatly missed but I am sure that his values and character will live on in his children, grandchildren and great grand children. The world needs more people with great big hearts like Larry.

Dear Patty,
I'm sorry I couldn't attend the services, but want you to know my thoughts are with you. I ran into Larry the week before Christmas at the 5S diner. Even though he looked very sick he still had that boyish twinkle in his eye. That's one thing I always liked about Larry. After I walked away, I thought to myself what a gentle spirit Larry had and that he must have been a great husband, dad and grandpa. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and let me know if there is anything I can do to ease your pain.

Uncle Larry will be greatly missed by all of us. He was a fun loving person who knew just to say to make someone laugh or smile.

Larry was a wonderful, caring, loving man that would do anything for anyone. He will be missed dearly but we know that he is still with us and always will be. We will cheerish all of the wonderful times and memories that we have of him. Such as snowmobile riding up in Tug Hill and sitting in the back of the truck with Bubba with the space heater in the back, laughing all the way.
