Obituary of Julio Sanchez

Mr. Julio Sanchez, 63, formerly of Northern Blvd., died peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home. He was born in Manati, Puerto Rico on January 17, 1946 to Andre and Josephina Colon Sanchez. Julio was a self employed auto mechanic in Far Rockaway, NY until the onset of his illness. In 2005, Julio moved to Amsterdam to live with his son Andre and his family until moving to Mt. Loretto in October of 2008. Julio will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his love of family, and will be missed by all who knew him. His loving family includes his children, Andre Amy Sanchez of Amsterdam, NY, Jesus Sanchez of Far Rockaway, NY, Jose Pagan and Julio Sanchez of Albany, NY and Xiomara Sanchez of Puerto Rico; a brother, Miguel Sanchez of Puerto Rico; a sister, Migdalia Sanchez of Amsterdam, NY; two grandchildren, Mia Sanchez and Domenica Donaofreo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 12 noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Lawrence Decker officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the funeral service beginning at 11 o'clock.
