Obituary of Rose P. Clouthier

Canajoharie/Montgomery County Rose P. Clouthier, 93, of Maple Avene, died peacefully early Sunday morning, December 27, 2009 at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, NY. She was born in Canajoharie August 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Rose Paluzzi, Sr. Rose was a life resident of the area and a resident of Florida and was of Roman Catholic faith. She married Henry O. Clouthier May 14, 1947, he predeceased her December 1, 2002. Rose worked at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie while operating her Beauty Salon in her home. She and her husband also owned and operated the former Petit Restaurant in Canajoharie. Rose was also always very proud of her cooking and baking, especially her homemade pastas. Her loving family includes her sons Kenneth J. Clouthier and wife Janet of Palatine Bridge, Richard S. Clouthier and wife Jill of Penfield and Robert L. Grant and wife Elna of Valrico, FL, her sisters Eileen Show and husband Knute of Canajoharie and Helen Iacobucci of Canajoharie, her brothers, Joseph Paluzzi and wife Mary Ann of Ft. Myers, FL and Victor Paluzzi and wife Rosemary of Canajoharie, and her grandchildren, Shawn Clouthier and wife Janice, Scott Clouthier and wife Michele, Timothy Clouthier and wife Jennifer, Stephen Clouthier and wife Melissa, Paul Clouthier and wife Katie, Kathryn Wilhelm and husband Matthew, Robert Grant and Adam Grant. Thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Prayer Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY 13317. Interment will be held in the spring at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery in Canajoharie. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the funeral home.
