To Ray's family,
I was saddened to read of Ray's passing. I was fortunate to have gotten to know Ray, Violet, Harry and Andy while I was working at the former Fulton County Infirmary. I was one of the nurses who cared for Ray's Mother, Bessie. Ray and his family were the most devoted children, grandchildren I think I ever had the great fortune to meet. They never missed a day to visit Bessie. I remember one snowy, snowy night when no-one was able to get to the Infirmary to visit--except for the Stoddards! In fact, Ray even had to spend the night at the facility, along with most of the 3-11 staff, as we couldn't leave due to the severe storm. We made the most of it and Ray helped us with his wit and humor. I think Ray bunked out on the couch in the lobby if I remember correctly. This was the Stoddard family- nothing kept them from visiting their beloved Bessie. I hope Ray, Violet, Harry and Bessie are all together now and resuming their family bond with love and laughter.

To the family of Ray Stoddard,
I retired from the Fulton Co. Infirmary 2 years ago after 35 years of employment. One of my fondest memories were when Ray, Harry and Andy would come to visit Bessie. They were faithful with their visits, very loving and loyal to their Mom. The 3-11 nursing staff were also treated very kindly by them and I remember Ray as a jokester, always making us laugh. We looked forward to their visits almost as much as Bessie did! I hope God holds Ray in the palm of his hand..and that he can find happiness in the company of his family now with him. He was quite a guy!!
May fond memories also bring you strength and comfort. Please send my regards to Andy.
Fondly, Denise Spedding
