Obituary of Stacey Lee Martuscello
Stacey Lee Martuscello, 45, of Hogans Alley, passed away Monday evening at the Hospice House in Gloversville after a long illness.
Born March 11, 1964 in Gloversville, she was the daughter of Sarah Rowback and Joseph Andrews. She lived most of her life in Fonda.
Stacey attended the Fonda- Fultonville School System. She graduated from Johnstown High where she attended her last year in high school. Stacey was a graduate of Fulton- Montgomery Community College with an Associates Degree in business.
She was employed by Wal-Mart in Gloversville; Power Logistics in Johnstown and was a customer service representative for Citizens Communications in Johnstown.
Stacey originated Troop 2244 of the Girl Scouts in Gloversville and served as Girl Scout Leader. Stacey and Whitney spent many cold mornings selling cookies in the community. The Girl Scouts are losing a wonderful leader that dedicated many hours to her troop. Stacey's life revolved around her children and doing everything she could to enrich their lives. Stacey will be deeply missed by her family.
She was a member of the Gloversville Methodist Church.
On June 30, 2001 she married Bruce Martuscello. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Justin Paul Holland of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Whitney Taylor Martuscello of Fonda; two step sons, Michael Anthony Martuscello of Perth and Christopher James Martuscello of Canajoharie; a step daughter, Amanda Lynn Martuscello of Gloversville; her mother, Sarah Rowback Stephen Cowls of Johnstown; her father, Joseph Andrews of Gloversville; a brother, Joseph Andrews Kelli of Gloversville; a sister, Deborah Mancini Thomas of Fonda; four grandchildren, Sage, Nicholas, David and Ariyah; several aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 11 AM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery in Fonda. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stacey's memory to Educational Trust Fund for Stacey's daughter Whitney Taylor Martuscello. Please make checks out to Bruce Martuscello. Donations can also be mailed or left off at any NBT location.
